ROSS Design Services' mechanical engineers are experienced in the complete process of bringing a product from concept to manufacturing. Our mechanical engineers have a strong background in ergonomic and user-interface design, and are experienced machinists having worked as tool & die and injection mold makers. Their insight garnered has increased their ability to quickly create successful designs and coordinate final tooling. Most designs involve:

  • Plastic part mechanical design
  • Mechanical packaging of electronic products
  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Rhino
  • Creation of prototypes in SLS, SLA, or machining

Typically, our mechanical engineers will solid model a plastic part in CAD using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Rhino. After solid modeling, prototypes are created in rapid prototyping using SLS, SLA, or machining. Upon fit for use verification, our mechanical engineering team will coordinate with vendors on the production of hard tooling.
